How does Safe Places update the location?

The app uses a smart combination of GPS, WiFi access points, and cell towers to provide the most accurate real-time location for all Circle members.

How accurate is the location?

It is extremely accurate, with a margin of error of just a few meters. We always recommend keeping WiFi turned on (even if you are not connected to a network) to drastically improve indoor detection.

Will it consume a lot of battery on my phone?

No. Our "low consumption" algorithm only activates high-power sensors when it detects that you are moving. When you are in a safe place, the app enters power-saving mode.
